Starting off February’s exciting lineup at the Arts Centre Gold Coast is ‘Diamonds Are for Trevor’, a glamorous tribute to Shirley Bassey, the iconic singer known for being the voice on James Bond soundtracks Goldfinger, Moonraker, and Diamonds Are Forever. Helpmann Award nominee Trevor Ashley takes centre stage as Shirley Bassey, complete with the dazzling sequin dresses and the famous Shirley Bassey haircut for a genuine Shirley Bassey live experience that has received nothing but rave reviews since its beginning. Behind Trevor Ashley is an impressive 24-piece orchestra, bringing all the famous Shirley Bassey hits to life such as ‘Big Spender’, ‘Never, Never, Never’, ‘This is My Life’, and ‘History Repeating’, as well as all the famous theme songs from Goldfinger, Moonraker, and Diamonds Are Forever.
This Girl: Rachael Beck – February 15
Australian theatre’s sweetheart Rachael Beck is back and touring across the nation with her new show ‘The Girl: Rachael Beck.’ Since the young age of 13, Rachael Beck has enjoyed a successful career in Australian showbiz, from appearing in Home and Away to taking on lead roles in big Australian stage production such as Les Miserables, Beauty and the Beast, The War of the Worlds, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and several others. Not only does she act but she sings too, solidifying her vocal talent in her 2014 solo album ‘This Girl’. In ‘This Girl: Rachael Beck’ enjoy getting up close and personal with inspiring stories from her career as well as witnessing firsthand what she does best: perform.

The Bangarra Dance Theatre delve deep into Australian cultural history with their newest production, ‘Our Land People Stories’. This exciting, lively, and colourful show explores several crucial points in the history of Australia’s vibrant culture, from the famous paintings of artist Nyapanyapa Yunupingu, the story of the Wiradjuri family, and the fascinating background of Sydney governor Lachlan Macquarie. ‘Our Land People Stories’ is both educational and thrilling to watch.
